Calvin L. Lyons, CEO

Calvin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his non-profit
work at the Talaris Institute, Rainier Scholars and INROADS;
three youth development organizations serving age ranges from early education to young adulthood. He has also worked within the private sector
in both diversity and senior human resources roles at
Washington Mutual and the Boeing Company.

Calvin has a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, an MBA from Pepperdine University and completed the Executive Leadership Program in Business at Seattle University. His resume highlights extensive volunteer and board service throughout his professional career.

As a servant leader, he leads people by action over talk. Calvin inspires people to follow him by example and by rolling up his sleeves. He believes in modeling the behavior that is appropriate for moving an organization forward all while building strong, empowered and engaged teams.

Calvin is a former Boy’s Club kid from Gary, Indiana and is the embodiment of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles’ mission. He possesses a relentless passion to help all kids achieve successful outcomes but especially advocates for those without access to high quality youth development programming – those who need the Clubs most. When not at the office,
he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exercising, and collecting chess sets from around the world.
