Rocio's non-profit journey began at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she embarked on a trajectory of growth alongside the organization's expansion, contributing significantly to its advancement. Leadership roles at The Oaks School and Lung Association of CA further honed her skills before she joined the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement in 2021. In her roles, Rocio has implemented new financial policies and procedures focused on improving efficiencies, resulting in cost savings and increased transparency.

 

Most recently, as the Chief Financial Officer at Santa Monica Boys & Girls Clubs, Rocio's impact has been transformative. In the last two years, she reinvigorated the Finance department, implementing crucial system upgrades and procedures.

 

Rocio's strategic mindset and dedication to financial resilience drive her vision of long-lasting nonprofit influence. She believes that nurturing financial literacy and accountability empowers nonprofits to make meaningful changes. Her drive for efficiency has led to streamlined processes and the creation of financial metrics aligned with strategic goals.

 

Rocio holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She is a lifelong Inglewood resident, and she is passionate about supporting BGCMLA to continue its growth in the areas of LA that need us the most!
